Exciting New Features from Open AI

Okay, so I finished watching the first DevDay from Open A.I and I just had to share with you the latest developments!

Here are the main releases:

1. GPT-4 Turbo Model: OpenAI introduced the GPT-4 Turbo model, which supports up to 128,000 tokens of context length, making it industry-leading in context length and accuracy.

2. Data Retrieval Capabilities: OpenAI added data retrieval capabilities, allowing assistants to extract information from uploaded documents, such as PDFs, making it easier to incorporate external knowledge.

3. DALL·E 3 API: DALL·E 3, the image generation model, is getting its own API, enabling users to generate images programmatically.

4. Custom GPTs (GPTs): OpenAI introduced GPTs, which are tailored versions of ChatGPT designed for specific purposes. Users can customize these GPTs with actions, expanded knowledge, and instructions.

This last one is the one I am most excited about.

I have plenty of ideas for building custom chatbots for specific purposes.

Think about it.

You usually use a website or YouTube video when you want to find the product that fits your needs so you search “best pressure washer for under$200”.

Image having a custom ChatGPT that reads all of the reviews on Amazon, watches all the YouTube videos and gives you the best option.

I can’t wait to start building one of these. All the websites I build are not interactive and I can’t wait to change that.
